Little garden's love the arts!
After a suggestion by Mrs O we tried singing, dancing and playing the guitar to help our little gardens grow.
It also helps that we are having a beautiful week of sunshine!
Any more suggestions whanau?

Little Garden!
This week we planted our little gardens! Thanks so much New World and School HQ. Click here for photos!
We met up with our buddy classes (just to spy on their techniques...) to pot and plant our seeds. We noticed that the seeds were already in the seed mats.
We learnt about how washing our hands after gardening is so important. We also learnt how to model what to do and then how to help our teina to successfully pot their seeds.
Well done tuakana. They look great. Each of our 4 classes has a tray and we have 2 spare sets that we have put in Graeme's shed and in our breakout space.
I wonder if we could donate them to another class?
Who would you suggest Mamaku?

Growth Mindset revisited...
We looked at what makes a growth mindset.
We watched this video:
We have come up with more ideas (better than Miss Panther's ideas) to share with our Syndicate.
Do you have any more to add? Leave us a comment underneath!

Matariki
Matariki is the Māori name for a group of stars (also known as the Pleiades).
It rises in mid-winter – late May or early June.
For many Māori, it signals the start of a new year. Matariki literally means the 'eyes of god' (mata ariki) or 'little eyes' (mata riki).
Other countries have different names for Pleiades. Can you find out what they are?
We created a Matariki cloak with the help of our buddy classes. Here they are!
