Easter Egg Extravaganza!

As an Easter celebration we decided to decorate eggs, bake some treats and make a basket for all our treats!

Equipment:
Hard boiled eggs
Dye
Wax crayons
Paint brush
Ice cream containers
Tissues

Steps:

1. Hard boil your egg

2. Use wax crayons to decorate your egg.

3. Use Easter patterns and lots of colour.
Be very careful so you don't break the shell.

4. Carefully place your egg into an ice cream container filled with the dye.
Roll it around and paint the dye over the egg.

Here are our finished products!

We would love to see your decorated eggs.

Have you ever decorated eggs?

What is your favourite pattern?

Nathan's 100 word challenge #24

If we share… we can help the children that need food or clothes. So always share with your friends and people that need food at school or on the roads so they can live the life, to get older for a job. Then they can help themselves if they use money for the stuff that they need like food, a home or a good living. So help people that are not in a home so you can help the life of the children so all the kids can go help themselves on the road, school at home, at work.  Help the children.

100 word challenge #24

CLICK ABOVE FOR EXAMPLES!

This is Andualem.    Week#24
Andualem is 12 and he lives in Ethiopia. He’s tucking into a big plate of his favourite food, injera.
Injera is a special Ethiopian pancake that you eat with your hands – you tear off a strip, dab it in spicy sauce, and then try to get it in your mouth before you drop any!
Injera is also a meal that you share with your family and friends – it often comes on a big plate so that everyone can gather round and enjoy it at the same time.
Right now, children all over the world are hungry, because they don’t have enough food to eat, but there is enough food to feed everyone if, like Andualem, we could all learn to share what we have.
Write a message about this to Andualem and others, starting with…
 ‘If we share…’
As usual, you have 100 words to add to these 3.

Ella F's 100 word challenge #23

http://100wc.net/

Emily Dribble went for her usual Saturday morning visit to the library. Suddenly Emily saw a rather mysterious looking book so she walked over, reached out and pulled it off the shelf. Then she sat down and started to read the book.
"Bob the Cat was surrounded by a mob of big finned orange gold fish. Suddenly he remembered he was a cat so he ran straight through, dodging one. Having separated the ring of goldfish he ran home to his cat box."
Emily Dribble finished reading the mysterious book, she skipped home and took a nice warm bath.

Abby's 100 word challenge #23

http://100wc.net/

One dark stormy night there was a mysterious cat that was having a bath next to the castle. Then it walked into an orange house and looked in the window of the house. I saw lots and lots of RATS! The cat separated them into 10 groups for the best group to eat. I run as fast as I could and told my family and they said I was crazy. I said "I am not!" They told everybody else and they told them it was true then they told them the story of the MYSTERIOUS CAT and how it all began.

Nina's 100 word challenge #23

Once upon a time I was at the park with my friends and we started to play hide and seek. I ran to the trees and I saw a very funny thing… A bird was walking up and down a tree with a fish in it’s mouth. I could see that the bird had SEPARATED the fish with its beak and eaten all the insides. Then I remembered that we were playing hide and seek so I ran off to the stream and got the shock of my life! I saw a big BATH with a MYSTERIOUS ORANGE CAT washing itself! I screamed and he looked at me and he looked so angry that I sprinted back to my friends and we went to get ice cream. Then we went home talking like crazy but I didn’t tell them what had happened. When I went to bed I was sure I heard something behind the door…

100 word challenge!!

Comment below with your 100 words and I will publish!

Grey District Swimming

On Wednesday the 6 Ella F, Nina , Libby and I went to the swimming pool for the grey district swimming sports to swim for our school. It was so fun and difficult at the same time. The 9 year boys went first and then the 9 year old girls went to go. I came 1st 5 times and 2nd 3 times and 3rd only 2. There was only 1 mistake that I do not want to tell you because it makes me feel not good at all...

Athletics Day

Athletics day was on Monday 3rd  March. It was awesome! I came 1st in the running but came 2nd in the sprints. Before that we did shot put and Libby came 1st in that.

Just before lunch we competed in the relays - Catherine, Tahlia, Darian and Riley were running for R11.

I thought Athletics day was awesome and my Dad was so proud of me.

Have you had your school athletics?

Did you win a race?

What was your favourite activity?

Swimming sports!

Swimming sports was on Friday a couple of weeks ago.

It’s an activity that the whole school does for fun. You can choose if you want to be in the Length pool or the Leisure pool and we swim in races.

You can get 1st 2nd or 3rd in either of them. I learnt that it doesn’t matter if you don’t get anywhere as long as you have fun.

Catherine R11

Are you in swimming club?

Did you make District swimming sports?

What was your favourite race?

Harold the Giraffe

This week we went to Harold twice - Wednesday and Thursday.

We were talking about friendship and how to make friends.

Harold gave us presents (books and stickers) but when Abby went up to get the stickers, he wouldn't let go!

I learnt that to make a friend you have to go to them and ask if you want to be friends.
